• EnergyWorks is a synthesis of conscious breathing, yoga meditation, QiGong and Alexander Technique. Because no one modality works for everyone, over years of practice and teaching I developed a synthesis of these techniques to create unique individual practices that meet unique individual needs. The goal is to give you tools for self healing and empowerment - not simply as ‘exercise’ - but that you can take into the craziness of your everyday life, enabling you to meet stress and overwhelm with strength and calm.

    For some people traditional PT is simply too strenuous and demanding, and the side affects of medications unpleasant. EnergyWorks practice is about exploring what is comfortable for you to do; not to build strength as an end goal, but to free up energy and release pain-causing tensions to build strength and flexibility without stress.

    EnergyWorks evolved from my personal experience living with - and recuperating from - cancer, and the pain, fatigue and anxiety that come with it. I learned that even when weak and exhausted you can direct energy as a form of exercise; that even when you’re exhausted you can connect to energy; that through practice you can connect to more strength and resilience than you thought possible.

    Mental and emotional tension is registered in the body, and vice versa; physical stress creates mental and emotional stress. EnergyWorks is a practice based in the knowledge that mind and body are one; that focus on energy and breath enables you to move through the patterns and anxieties that block your ability to make the life changes you want to make.

    If you just want to explore ways to be more aware, more confident, more open, happier…

    Basically this is the goal of all EnergyWorks - to improve your sense of well being to help you gain some control over the tensions you face daily. It’s a practice meant to integrated into every aspect of your life - giving you tools you can call upon whenever and wherever you feel the need to get centered, focus your mind, get calm.

I have practiced, developed and taught programs of integrated healing modalities for over 40 years in the US and Europe. I am a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique (ACAT); a practitioner of CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release (Upledger Institute); a yoga teacher registered at the highest level of experience and expertise (E-RYT 500); a long-time teacher of QiGong and a Life Coach who integrates these modalities into practical living solutions.

I started yoga to heal chronic back pain, a healing experience which began my lifelong exploration of energy healing therapies. I have studied with many great teachers, yet gained my deepest understanding of their power as I adapted and used these practices to help myself deal with and recuperate from three bouts of cancer—a process which transformed my life

EnergyWorks grew from my desire to share the skills and wisdom contained in these practices.

I teach what I have personally experienced to be powerfully healing and strengthening.

Tension is at the root of a multitude of health and wellbeing issues, blocking our access to an energy source most of us are too tense to know is even there. Everyone can learn to access that energy to release those tensions, and live a more aware, more open and happier life.
